SPAN can be divided into standard resistance type and low
resistance type. The former is applied to places with strong wind
or low resistance. SPAN with standard thickness has 150,220, 290mm
type. The 220mm type is the common specification at home, so only
the standard press loss model is available. Because filter area of
large air flow filter is broader than that of standard air flow,
the former is more appropriate to use in place for more air flow.
Large air flow type can reduce the number of products used and save
installation space for its new system design. For system in use, if
large air flow type is used to replace the standard one, system
resistance can be reduced and the target of saving energy, long
replacement cycle and low disposable can be reached.

In the case of same resistance, low resistance type’s wind speed
can reach 2.5m/s, and it saves more energy and has longer service
life than the standard one if the resistance is increased a little
in the same condition.
